Dancing Dragon Line Art 2

Happy Holiday’s,

Hope everyone is well, and enjoying the snow! (I think most people have snow now… I sure do here…) I was just checking out some of my older posts and realized I have never updated the progress on one of the pics I started and shared earlier. I had meant to share this earlier. I had started a little project a while ago, Dancing Dragon. Sadly I am still working on coloring it. However, I have made and posted the video of the sketching process. In case you did not read the very short earlier post, it was done in Autodesk Sketchbook Pro 6, with my little Wacom Bamboo Fun tablet. I now have version 7, but they are compatible and seem to work well together. Unlike with Corel Painter Essentials and Autodesk Sketchbook, which do not play nice together. Anyways, back to the actual art!

This is just the line art, which I quite enjoyed working on!!

My sketching process is shown in the video bellow. Note that it is sped up, and if I remember correctly this took a total of 1 hour or so to complete. Even longer to piece together the screen capture using Microsoft Windows Movie Marker…. I was not happy using that program, and now use the Corel Video Studio. This video I had made up quite a while ago and just forgot that I had already finished it. I am pleased, that I found it before I started to remake it. I will have to work on getting a bit more organized with regards to blogging focusing on what I want to do with it, and have to do to make it happen. School tends to win my attention, as I am trying to finish in the next few months. However, organization will not hurt anything!!

The color is almost done, as you can see! Just have to sit down, focus, and finish it. Perhaps I will do that later today.. or sometime this week. It is rough because I tend to do the details not minding the lines, and clean it up afterwards. Something that you normally cannot do in a physical medium.
